Too much fun and luxury The help in booking by Mr Bhawani and his guidance and generosity was amazing The rooms and beds were pure luxury! Haven’t felt so comfortable in a train ever. It is a beautiful one! Our butlers Kunal and Gopal were so sweet And every other coordinator and the security head ji were so kind and accommodating Apologies for forgetting a few names They took care of us like family and helped us with every single demand or ask we had Special mention to the food in this train, even the breakfast, everything so so spectacular and delicious!!! You have a personal Khidmatgar (butler or 2 thank you Om-Veet & Bhopal) who wake you with tea & biscuits, escort you to dinner & look after your every need throughout your stay. At every stop you are entertained, escorted by POW staff & guided by local guides making you feel completely safe & shielded from the usual hassle at tourist sights. All entry fees & tips are taken care off so no feeling uncomfortable on who & when to tip. It is an action-packed trip not for the faint heated which includes 5 cities, 5 forts, 4 palaces, Tiger spotting & Bird watching, camel & elephant ride (if you choose to), lunches during the day, dinner in the desert & of course the amazing Taj Mahal. An easy & comfortable way to sample the food & hospitality of Rajasthan in general & also the opportunity to meet the O&MD at both his hotel in Jaipur & home in Bharatpur to experience his passion & vision for POW. Feb 2025 • Palace on Wheels (POW) is an ideal choice if you want to make it a memorable trip while soaking in luxury and Rajputana Hospitality. It qualifies as a worthy entry to your bucket list! What makes it unique is that it maximizes your fun time and takes away the nonproductive time of flying to different cities / checking in-out of hotels and associated chores of packing – unpacking – repacking at short intervals. Not forgetting the daytime wasted as the flight timings might not allow full day utilization for fun and excursions. You don’t need to spend hours going through various sources to design your itinerary, your restaurants, bookings and guides. Everything is taken care of by POW. Fun starts the moment you are ready to board with a grand welcome. There’s a khitmatgar (orderly), attached to each cabin, so you can ask him for any special assistance during your stay. Special order food / drinks can be customized. At every station there is a special traditional welcome, with a combination of garlands, a tilak, traditional dance, dhol, traditional musical instruments, brass band, horse mounted guards. Each welcome is a unique experience. Top sites of Rajasthan + Agra, managed within seven days. Each minute of your time is so well utilized that you are left wondering how you managed all this in such a short time. What makes this even better is the people running the show. The GM’s (Devendra Pal) humility and commitment drives the team. Vishnu, JP Jat, Jitu, Bhawani, Yogesh and many more work as a team to delight the customer. While I apologize to staff for forgetting a few names, I can’t forget the demeanor of our young Khitmatgar, Utsav. They all made it a wonderful package, Something unexpected is the fact that the train is old, so vibrations during movement may lead to poor sleep, though I am told that the new coaches will be there soon. However, if you are someone who loves to soak into a destination while taking leisurely steps through the streets, then stay away from POW. This is a quick and unparalleled luxurious peep into Rajasthan, walking you through history, culture and food of various parts. At the end of the trip we were overwhelmed with the hospitality of POW! POW can be used in many forms, after this trip you may want to refer to POW as “Princess* Of Wonderland”
