Palace On The Wheels

The Palace on Wheels, launched in 1982, is considered India’s first luxury heritage train. It is a joint initiative between the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and Indian Railways. The concept of the Palace on Wheels train was inspired by the royal background of its coaches. The coaches were originally designed to be the personal coaches of the rulers of the states of Rajputana, including Baroda and the Nizam. The Palace on Wheels offers a complete luxury experience with opulent cabins, dining areas, outstanding hospitality, and service.
